Billy R. Haynes, 53

Billy Ray Haynes, 53, of West Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth Medical
Center on Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Born in Danville, Ill., Jan. 31, 1955, he was the son of Billy "Sam"
and Martha Lu Cole Haynes of West Lafayette, and graduated from
Harrison High School in 1973.

His first wife, Lesly Koliaga Haynes, preceded him in death. He
married Martha Bisner Luttrell on May 24, 1997, in Battle Ground, and
she survives.

Mr. Haynes was a licensed practical nurse at the Indiana Veterans'
Home. He enjoyed fishing, rock 'n' roll music and cooking.

Also surviving are two sons, Billy Ray Haynes Jr. of West Lafayette
and Taylor Gene Haynes (wife: Brittney) of San Jose, Calif.; two
daughters, Risha Koliaga of San Jose and Marisha Hativa of Portland,
Ore.; three stepsons, Mike Luttrell (wife: Kelli) and Mark Luttrell
(wife: Shawnelle), both of Lafayette, and Pete Luttrell (wife: Dana)
of West Point; three sisters, Ellen Colton (husband: Bill) of
Portland, Dianna Dively (companion: Larry Massey) of Carlisle, Pa.,
and Becky Casselberry of Lafayette; and a brother, Edgar Haynes of
Lafayette.

Visitation is one hour prior to the 1 p.m. service on Wednesday, May
21, 2008, at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Pastor John Dittmer will
officiate. Sixteen grandchildren also survive. Memorial contributions
may be made to the charity of donor's choice. Hippensteel Funeral Home
entrusted with care.
